My dear friends,
I had one of the most fun times ever on tour this month with Bess Rogers, Martin Rivas and Craig Meyer. We made such incredible friends all over and stayed with lovely families and people. Although something sad happened in Atlanta, we did not let it take away our spirit (or jokes) and we all decided that the shows would most definitely go on.
I can’t thank my band mates enough for their energy kindness or good humor and to all of the amazing people who we met along the way and who housed us, fed us, delivered pianos and drums to us ;), drove us, lent us bikes, clapped for us!!, and infused us with your own amazing energy, we don’t have the proper words to thank you.
Now I am off to our nations Capitol, sadly with no band in tow, to sing at the…..
Tomorrow am I get the incredible honor of singing for the UN charity, Girl Up, in the incredible south auditorium of the white house to honor Mrs. Obama’s recent trip to Africa. Please take a minute to check put this amazing charity…. Girlup.org and spread the word. Girls helping girls? Hell yes!!!
Okay more exciting news to come…
I love you all, thank you for making this journey so amazing so far. I’ll tell Barry you say what up!!
We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve ALREADY done. But if you could possibly help us by spreading the word, reblogging, reposting, retweeting, rewhatevering, it would be a huge help. Lots & lots of love,
Dear friends. The past two weeks I have been having an AMAZING time on tour with my friends Rachel Platten, Martin Rivas and Craig Meyer. But as you may have heard, our van got broken into last week as we were sleeping at a hotel. A lot of gear, instruments and merch was stolen; the total loss being over $10,000. Luckily we were able to borrow from friends to finish the tour. But once we get home in a few days, we’ll have to start figuring out how to replace what we’ve lost. So… we’ve decided to partner up with our dear friends at StageIt and do a fundraiser show tomorrow night. You can help by simply buying a ticket and enjoying some music! Even if you can’t attend the show, you can still leave a “tip” if you’d like to donate. We would truly appreciate your help, however big or small. Even just a reblog would be awesome. Thank you so so so much and we hope you can make it!
(And thank you to everyone who has already donated via the Don’t Tell Your Mom tour or who helped with borrowed gear. We love you so much!)
